Innovative new scheme presents emerging vendors with opportunities to establish a strong foothold in the UK market

Established in 2009, The [Tech] Crowd comprises a senior management team with over 40 years experience. The Channel Dragons constitute a handpicked team of representatives from some of the largest and most influential distributors in the UK. Prior to joining the panel, Channel Dragons undergo a profiling process to assess strengths, unique offerings, customer base, product portfolio and future strategy, all in mind of being able to present the most suitable vendors to them during the next stage of the process.
Through continuously researching the global technology market, The [Tech] Crowd assesses new trends and emerging vendors in relevant sectors with the aim of identifying targets that would be suitable for further promotion in the UK market, and that would be an ideal fit for the handpicked Dragons. Vendors undergo a process of qualification, which takes into account positioning in the market, USPs, commercial attractiveness and production and logistical readiness, to narrow down potential candidates. A handful of successful vendors are presented to the Channel Dragon panel, and following a successful pitch are then partnered with the respective Dragons.
Once paired up, the distributor provides a complete channel management service for long term prosperity, which includes initial stock profiling and ongoing stock management, sales training, reseller engagement support and ongoing strategy refinement. The [Tech] Crowd’s aim at all times is to assist both vendors and distributors in driving new revenue for the mutual benefit of all parties, and remains in contact with both throughout the partnership. Through providing vendors with a “foot in the door” with major distributors and by offering distributors a hand-picked selection of potential candidates along with all of the most important information required to make a decision, the combination has proven to be an instant success, and The [Tech] Crowd is expecting big things for the future.
