It’s a common problem that couples struggle to agree on a temperature for the bedroom. The Luxurious heated blanket fits over your mattress like a fitted sheet and is designed to be as comfortable as possible. It’s made from soft micro-fleece materials and thin wires so you barely know it’s there whilst also protecting your mattress and prolonging its life. Operating from less than 2p per night (based on an 8 hour night), the Luxurious is the perfect solution to saving money and keeping warm during the next few months, without resorting to putting the heating on. You can use it all night, and keep an eye on the energy consumption with the inbuilt EcoControl controllers – which can be detached for washing the blanket.
The blanket will heat up in just 8 minutes, so you can pop it on while you’re brushing your teeth! On the single version, there are two heat zones for the body and feet and nine temperature settings for each zone. On the larger versions, this extends to four heat zones. The heating settings can be programmed to turn off after 1-12 hours, depending on your needs. You can also set it up so it will switch down to the lower setting of 6 after 3 hours, if you start on 7, 8 or 9. Safety comes first though, and the SleepSafe Ultimate Safety System will turn the blanket off if there’s a malfunction.
The Luxurious Heated Blanket is machine washable and tumble dryer safe. The blanket is also Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, which means that the textile materials used to make this blanket meet the stringent human ecological requirements as verified by the Hohenstein Research Institute.
There are health benefits to using a heated underblanket too. It’s reported that they can help with arthritis, fibromyalgia, muscle soreness, flexibility, quality of sleep, allergies, sinus problems and even conditions like Post-polio syndrome and Raynaud’s Phenomenon.
