Milton Keynes, England, 18th July 2013: AVer, a major global provider of HD video-conferencing products, surveillance, and presentation technology, today announces the launch of the EVC130 and EVC130p, full HD (1080p) endpoint video conferencing solutions for SMBs and the education and healthcare sectors.
With a slim, lightweight design, superb end quality and a range of built-in features that maintain the highest levels of performance, the low total cost of ownership makes the AVer EVC130 the most cost-effective endpoint on the market. It boasts a 2MP fixed focus camera with an 88° field of view and 4x digital zoom, making it versatile enough for a person-to-person call or to broadcast an entire room. With 1080p resolution for main video and 720p for content sharing, both at 30fps, it offers superb value compared to competitor HD solutions and ensures that users experience crystal clear clarity with no loss of detail.
Alongside the EVC130 sits the EVC130p, which offers identical features and support with the additional benefit of a 2MP Point-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera, featuring a powerful 16x optical zoom to give users a greater degree of precision and even more control over image manipulation and positioning.
The EVC130 series also features a brand new microphone array system and houses three individual mic receivers to maximise audio quality by identifying the main audio source and fading out unwanted background noise before combining into a single stream. Advanced audio processing also includes echo cancellation to minimise feedback and “double-talk” from the speaker, ambient noise is suppressed via AVer’s noise reduction mechanism, and automatic gain control compensates for changes in audio volume. Additionally, those looking to use the EVC130 in large conference rooms or lecture halls can daisy-chain up to four additional EVC microphones to greatly expand the coverage area.
Both setup and operation of the EVC130 couldn’t be easier. With quick start operation and a straightforward UI, it’s simple to configure the device within minutes on a new system. AVer also includes HELPer, its High Efficiency Lost Packet Recovery mechanism that automatically calibrates bit-rate to compensate for bandwidth issues, adjusts call resolution and handles frame resend requests if data loss occurs, ensuring that audio and video streaming remains smooth and uninterrupted.
With additional features such as dual-display to simultaneously show video and content on a single screen and additional tools to remotely access and control a camera and codec via a web browser and integrate with existing A/V equipment via LAN, users can be sure that the EVC130 is both fully featured and capable of dealing with the typical problems that might affect video conferencing with a minimum of fuss.
“In developing the EVC130 we wanted a solution that offered the highest quality performance without compromising on design, flexibility and functionality,” says Nigel Roberts, Marketing Manager of AVer. “By listening to the typical problems people encounter when video conferencing and focusing on developing effective solutions to them, we’re confident that in the EVC130 we have the most user-friendly and cost effective endpoint VC system on the market.”
The EVC130 comes complete with a codec, camera, MIC cables and 3-year warranty, alongside the highest levels of pre and post-sale customer care.
In addition, EVC130 can be purchased as a packaged product, complete with mobile stand and 46” Philips display monitor. This gives end-users a complete system, just needing a network connection to enable HD video conferencing. Called the TrueCongress Solo, this package is available from August 2013 and priced at £2,999 excluding VAT.
