BullGuard joins Get Safe Online to help promote safe and responsible internet use
London, 20th February 2014: Global internet and mobile security company BullGuard is pleased to announce a new partnership with Get Safe Online, the UK’s national internet security awareness initiative. The company joins other partners & associate partners to help raise awareness of important online safety issues and protect consumers and businesses from potential online threats of today’s digital age.
BullGuard is one of the fastest growing internet and mobile security brands in the market. Its product portfolio includes internet security solutions for both home and small business users, including BullGuard Premium Protection – a unique suite that goes beyond the PC to safeguard personal and financial information by continually monitoring the web, social networks, as well as stolen and compromised data sources.
Premium Protection also enables parents to monitor their child’s social media activity and alerts them to any potential threats, such as receiving inappropriate, suspicious invites or links to malicious websites, as well as cyber bullying.
BullGuard and Get Safe Online joined forces on the back of their mutual passion to raise awareness around online safety. Together they hope to be able to protect people’s digital footprint whether they are banking, shopping, social networking or simply just browsing the internet.
“In our experience, many consumers have been slow to react to the emerging array of threats that target smartphones, tablet devices and social networks, so raising awareness of this new field of malware has always been one of our key goals,” said BullGuard CEO, Nedko Ivanov. “Partnering with Get Safe Online is a great way to ensure this message gets out there, and underlines our commitment to helping internet users feel safe and well protected against modern threats.”
Tony Neate, Chief Executive of Get Safe Online said: “The rise of mobile devices, coupled with recent tragic cyber bullying events, means that online safety has never been so important. We rely on our partners to help support our efforts to promote safer and more responsible use of the internet. As such, we are delighted to welcome BullGuard on board and hope that together we can help more people to reduce the risks so they can continue to have a positive and enjoyable internet experience.”
