Sennheiser announces the wireless DECT D 10 – stylish comfort and uncompromising sound for modern professionals
Marlow, United Kingdom, 18th Nov 2014 – Sennheiser, a leading specialist provider of headset solutions and speakerphones, has announced the launch of the D 10, an entry-level wireless DECT headset and the latest in its award-winning series of headsets aimed at the office professional.
The D 10 is designed to provide an unbeatable combination of slimline design and uncompromising sound at a price point that makes it one of the most accessible of its kind. With a customisable single-sided design that offers the single connectivity to either a deskphone or a softphone/PC, it represents the ultimate in comfort and operation. Its two-in-one wearing style can utilise either a headband or ear hook for all-day use, with full workday talk time of up to 12 hours and fast charging of up to 50% in just 20 minutes.
When it comes to quality, the D 10 bears all the hallmarks of the Sennheiser brand, encompassing a noise-cancelling microphone for consistent speech clarity, wideband sound for natural listening experiences and ActiveGard® technology that offers hearing protection against acoustic shock. Together with advanced Digital Signal Processing technology to give clearer sound by incorporating both echo cancelling and audio equalisation and DECT connectivity to avoid interference with nearby WiFi devices, users can be sure that crystal clarity is maintained whatever the environment.
As part of the complete solution for the modern office the D 10 is supplied with a stylish base station that has a built-in ringer for USB models with choice of tones and adjustable volume, which ensures calls can be heard even without wearing a headset. It also includes built-in cable management, user-friendly status indicators showing available talk time, oncoming calls and headset link and a magnetic charge interface for secure placement and peace of mind. With up to four headsets per conference call available from a single base station and easy one-touch call management, daily operation is a breeze, and with a long distance wireless range of up to 180m it’s perfect for large office environments where users need to remain mobile, and the ideal solution for both hot-desking and phone conferencing.
“We designed the D 10 firmly with the modern office professional in mind, ensuring that everything from design through to operation reflected the no-compromise standards that are demanded by today’s users” said Jane Craven, Sales Director at Sennheiser Communications. “The DECT standard combined with our digital processing technology ensures excellent clarity in typically noisy office environments, and we’ve made sure that workers can stay mobile and connected throughout the day with what is a truly “no hassle” solution.”
Available in three guises – the D 10 phone for desk phones, D 10 USB for UC professionals and D 10 USB ML for professionals using Microsoft Lync, it is optimised for all office environments to ensure the best possible experience out of the box. .
